The disabled or elderly often require special aids and equipment to maintain a life style which the able-bodied would consider acceptable. The Technical Aid Service takes referrals on any technical aspect of rehabilitation. Equipment for the disabled can be designed, developed and manufactured under this service if it is not available from conventional commercial channels or alternative government provision. This includes communication aids, wheelchairs (in co-operation with RREMS, personal toilet, training aids, aids for employment, ability assessment and more.
