The RVI Unit of the Regional Medical Physics Department is based at Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne. The hospital's main entrance is off Queen Victoria Road. The Regional Medical Physics Department is in the Leazes Wing.

Access from the north and south is via the A167 exiting at its junction with the B6338. At the roundabout turn left onto Claremont Road (B6338) then right at the next roundabout onto Queen Victoria Road. There is a multi-storey car park in the hospital grounds on the right after the first pedestrian crossing. The hospital's main entrance is further along just after the second pedestrian crossing on the right.
Disembark at Newcastle International Airport. Take the Metro light rail service into Newcastle-Upon-Tyne exiting at Haymarket. The hospital is five minutes walk away. Cross the road and ascend a flight of steps which leads through Newcastle University to Queen Victoria Road. The hospital is opposite the University.
Take the Intercity service to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. There is a taxi rank outside the Railway Station. The hospital is one mile away. Alternatively change onto the Metro light rail service at Central Station disembarking at Haymarket. The hospital is five minutes walk away. Cross the road and ascend a flight of steps which leads through Newcastle University to Queen Victoria Road. The hospital is opposite the University.
Disembark at Gallogate Coach Station. There is a taxi rank opposite. The hospital is a half mile away.
Newcastle upon Tyne is well served by public transport.
