Innovation at the Millennium Dome

The Design Council has selected the Laser Doppler Imager developed by Tim Essex and Phil Byrne of the Regional Medical Physics Department as a Millennium Product. The benefits of Millennium Products are the inclusion of a model in the Millennium Experience at Greenwich, the use of the Millennium marquee and major publicity for the product which is manufactured and marketed by Moor Instruments.

This is an enormous personal achievement for Tim and Phil and an excellent example of how our strategy is achieved through innovation.
