Professor Brian Diffey, Head of the Regional Medical Physics Department, has been appointed to the membership of the Science and Industry Council for the North East.
The overall purpose of the Council will be to provide direction and advice to enable the generation of wealth in the Region by the implementation of a science and technology strategy focused on business development. This direction and advice will be primarily provided to One North East. The Council should also seek to influence policies, programmes and activities undertaken by other Partners and relevant parties in the Region, nationally and wider, where these are relevant to the Strategy.
