Regional Medical Physics Department staff won three awards at the NHS Innovations North Bright Ideas in Health Awards
Clive Griffiths, who heads the Clinical Measurements Section at Freeman Road Hospital was awarded second prize.
Bill Allan, who heads the Clinical Measurement Section at Sunderland Royal Hospital, was highly commended for his development of the Sunderland Air Pressure Meter.
Dr John Allen's entry for the Peripheral Pulse Analyser system in the 2006 NHS Innovations North Bright Ideas in Health Awards Competition, Innovative Technology or Device Category, was a finalist in the competition and placed highly commended.
