Dr John Allen was awarded a Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust 2006 Sharing Good Practice Award for Innovation in Practice in recognition of his work developing clinical microvascular measurement services. The award was presented by Dr Ian Fletcher (to right of picture), Consultant Anaesthetist and Chair of the Clinical Effectiveness Team at Freeman Hospital.
